Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian actor, singer-songwriter and performer. She is mainly involved in Tamil as well as Malayalam movies. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam as well as Tamil debuts in acting. Andrea Jeremiah is born into the same Anglo-Indian family living in the Arakkonam region of Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father is a lawyer in the Madras High Court. She is the younger sibling of the researcher assistant from Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was raised near Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. She has said that she was quite a fan of science and wanted to become a psychiatrist until she completed the 12th grade of her board exams.Andrea learned classical piano when she was eight. In her twenties, she became in a Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the base of her early performing and music composition career. She worked as an actor at her college and was a part of in several plays produced by The Madras Players, EVAM and various theatre organizations. She was President of The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's stage career started with Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. She was featured in the 2006 leo coffee commercial alongside Shiva. She also appeared in a TV show shown on Podhigai. Her performances have been all over India. The brief appearance was in Kanda Mudhal's final scene (2005). After she rendered a song on Gautham Vasudev Menon's film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiya he asked her to play as one of the lead female characters in his next project Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea plays Kalyani in the film that is a re-imagining of the novel by James Siegel. Her husband is implicated in an affair and she's blackmailed.
