Chaka Khan
Chaka Khan is a famous American music producer and singer. Her name is also her popular nickname, the Queen of Funk. Through her long career that has stretched over five decades, she has won a total of ten Grammys. Billboard has ranked her as the 65th-most popular dancer of all time. Her mother introduced her to jazz while she was young. At the beginning of her career, she was a member of various groups. In the end, she was a part of the group Rufus. She released her debut album in the band around the age of twenty. A year later, they were awarded their very first Grammy. In the following years, she made her debut album an artist on her own. The following years, she has released a few other albums including "Echoes of a Time", "The Woman I am" and a song called "Funk This". In addition to her contribution to the music industry, she also received recognition for her charity work. Chaka Khan Foundation, which was established to assist children and adults with Autism along with families that are struggling. Khan has also been occasionally an actress. She played sister Carrie who played the leading role in the musical "Mama, I'm Wanting To Sing'.
